|Real Name||David McCullough|
The Pilot Edit
Quiet, but quick to action and exploration, David is a young man looking for adventure, often times throwing himself into situations that he should avoid. He used to do this because of his freelance work in photography, discovering that journalism in war pays more if you can get the right snapshot. Now he does it to survive.
While collecting pictures of the civil unrest in Hungary, David witnessed what has now become known as suit-fall. He was able to escape with the help of the suit, Esurio (so named due to its bestial, hungering A.I.)
These days, David spends his time either getting food, exercising, or roaming with the black dragon suit. He's gone to some dangerous places for breathtaking shots, and unfortunately, a lot of the world looks like a warzone now.
The Suit Edit
Wreathed in small, red lights that coalesce down it's back, this dark black, medium-type power suit somewhat resembles depictions of a young dragon both in form and function.
It is lacking in most modern types of weapons, but it makes up for it with capable firepower from a flamethrower hidden behind a jet, steeled jaw. This searing fire is enough to melt most anything in short order, including power armor. When it is incapable of using the flamethrower or must engage in melee, it boasts a pair of claws that shred armors and can stun other suits.
The suit is capable of flight, and this is achieved through a set of dark wings that are furled up and locked on its back when on the ground. However, when fighting smaller or faster suits, the wings are generally always engaged to out-pace such an opponents ground-speed.
A series of "scales" line the dragon's body, each made from a fusion of armored plates. They provide for a flexible beast capable of taking a fair bit of punishment.
Esurio is not so much the name of the power armor itself as it is for the A.I. This sentient A.I. is capable of speaking normally to the pilot, but is often ruled by its bestial nature in combat, especially if its been damaged by what it perceives to be a lesser target. When provoked to mindless rage, the A.I. will creep into David's cyber brain, and cause him to lose sight of the greater objective, becoming lost in the lust of battle... and other power suits. Esurio has gained control before, and before David could stop it, his suit had ripped apart and actually devoured another.
Esurio can be unpredictable, but is at least competent. It does not do foolish things with regard to safety, but it will disregard mission objectives for the kill. The pilot can lose himself (and has) easily to this as well, since the A.I. will intrude into his own mind. Once that happens, comms pop off (if you're lucky), other targets are forgotten, and there is only the instincts of a starving predator.
